Sound Insulation Testing

Noise, both inside and outside buildings, can be a highly emotive issue in today’s built environment.Glenside Environmental has considerable experience in the field of building acoustics and is able to advise on sound insulation, and room acoustics. Sound insulation testing is undertaken in accordance with current national and international standards and current Building Regulations for residential and commercial developments.

We advise property developers, contractors, housing associations and local authorities. Advice is often given on the construction details of floors and walls to achieve specific criterion and we can also offer advice relating to remedial measures to improve sound insulation.

We have considerable experience in conducting airborne and impact sound insulation tests in accordance with the Part E of the Irish Building Regulations and carry out Airborne and Impact testing of walls and floors to BS EN ISO standards.

Glenside engineers have conducted numerous projects involving noise planning and control in interior spaces. We have extensive experience in the design of residential and commercial buildings, both in terms of new build and conversions.
